Mike Dickie spent 25 years in full-service dining before becoming an Uncle Maddio’s Franchise Owner.

With hopes of discovering a newfound freedom by becoming his own boss, he set out to find a concept, but felt many were too crowded with competition. That’s when a light bulb went off. Coming from the Georgia area, he’d been to Uncle Maddio’s several times and loved the flavors and concept. Plus, the fast casual pizza segment was a newer niche with the opportunity to grow from the ground floor and innovate casual dining.

“I was impressed with the freshness of the food, the hand-cut ingredients and the homemade dough – they all speak to a premium brand that values quality,” Dickie said.

He was also attracted to our Served with Love™ culture, creating a positive atmosphere for the staff team and guest, saying, “It was important to me that I would own something that focuses on making our guests number one priority.”

He was convinced that he made the right choice and opened his first location in the Atlanta area shortly after.
